CANYON -- The School of Music at West Texas A&M University presents its first faculty recital of the year with a performance by the Canyon Piano Trio at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall.
The Canyon Piano Trio features Harrington String Quartet members and WTAMU string faculty members Dr. Keith Redpath-violin, and Emanuel Lopez-cello, and associate professor of music Dr. Denise Parr- Scanlin-piano.
"The group will perform a program of trios by Johannes Brahms and Gabriel Fauré. These composers wrote some of their most successful and beautiful works for chamber ensemble," Parr-Scanlin said.
The two trios chosen for this recital are decidedly personal, melodious and passionate.
All School of Music sponsored faculty recitals are free and open to the public.
