(KGET) School is back in session in less than a week for many kids, but it might not be the students who need the lessons.
Over the weekend, a road crew preparing for the new school year had some trouble with the word "School" on the road marking a crosswalk near an elementary school in Oildale, California.
It happened near Highland Elementary School. A block from the school, on Olympic Drive, a county crew's work was far from award-winning. They spelled "school" with a backwards "c."
"It was kind of funny. I was just thankful that it wasn't spelled with a "k," said Tonny Gisbertz, Highland Elementary School Principal.
