Blade Signing Ceremony at Pantex

The event is part of the ongoing construction of the Pantex Renewable Energy Project or "PREP".
AMARILLO -- The largest federally owned wind farm in the country is happening right here on the high plains.

To help commemorate it, local leaders and officals took part in a blade signing ceremony at Pantex.

The event is part of the ongoing construction of the Pantex Renewable Energy Project or "PREP".

US Congressman Mac Thornberry, State Senator Kel Seliger and State Representitive Four Price signed their names on one of the final 150-feet-long turbine blades which will be hoisted onto a wind turbine.

The wind farm project is expected to be completed sometime this spring.
