A new phone scam is making it's way around the High Plains.
The Better Business Bureau is warning people against what's called the grandparent scam.
A scammer will call claiming to be your grandchild in need of money, typically they seem panicked.
The BBB advises you don't disclose any information until you can confirm it is really your grandchild.
Be careful if you're requested to wire money.
That's usually a red flag.
If you've been a victim of this scam, contact local police.
