Atmos Energy Warning Against Phishing Scam

The "phishing" scam references a fake account number and contains links to fraudulent websites.
AMARILLO -- Atmos Energy is warning its e-Bill customer about a current scam going around.

The "phishing" scam references a fake account number and contains links to fraudulent websites.

The email provides links to mislead you in believing you are going to view your bill, learn more about natural gas or view bill inserts. Actually, the links lead you to a compromised website that hides malware.

If you receive this email, delete it immediately and do not click on any links.

Atmos Energy is reassuring customers that their account has not been affected and Atmos Energy's systems remain secure.

Please visit the Atmos Energy website to view your bill and make any necessary payments.
