Apple to Unveil New iPads and Americans Spending Less

Apple is expected to unveil new iPads today. Execs aren't spilling any secrets, but analysts predict a thinner, lighter full-sized iPad with a 10-inch display screen. They say it's designed more like a mini. In fact, a new version of the mini is predicted to come with an almost 8-inch screen. Both gadgets are expected to sport a high-pixel-density retina display.

According to bankrate.com, nearly three-quarters of Americans are holding back on spending. Main reasons are due to stagnant income, a need to save more, and worries over the economy. More Americans are feeling less secure in their jobs and less comfortable with their savings. Those feelings of job insecurity are at their highest level in nearly two years, spurred by the government shutdown.

Enterprise is rolling out Harley-Davidson motorcycles for rent in Las Vegas. It is a pilot program, currently at one branch. They could expand, depending on feedback. The motto: half the wheels, twice the fun. There are five different types, and they'll set you back $120 to $160 a day. You will also need a valid motorcycle license.
