AMARILLO -- Some Amarillo schools are getting help teaching kids to read.
Nine Amarillo ISD schools are receiving $5,000 Laura Bush grants.
They'll improve campus library collections.
The schools are Emerson, Forest Hill, Johnny Allen, Lawndale, Lee, Mesa Verde, San Jacinto, Sunrise, and Travis.
The schools applied for the grants and were only recently notified that they had won.
