Amarillo Police Arrest Two at Local Motel for Crack Cocaine

Officers searched the room and found two small clear tied plastic packets containing what is believed to be crack cocaine, scales and paraphernalia associated with drug use, and approximately $2000 in cash.
AMARILLO --  APD Uniform Division officers arrested Reynaldo Wheeler Jr., 27, and Michael Thomas Wheeler, 24, on charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group one, over 1 but less than 4 grams in a drug free zone (within 1000 feet of an elementary school at Amarillo Blvd. and N. Grand).

Amarillo Police developed information that crack cocaine was being sold by someone in a room at the Sundown Motel, 3612 Amarillo Boulevard East. Officers got a search warrant for the room. At 2:30 a.m., officers from the Uniform Division and COPPS Unit served the search warrant on room 119 at the motel.

Reynaldo Wheeler had two outstanding traffic warrants. Michael Wheeler had an outstanding warrant for unlawfully carrying a weapon. Both men were booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
