AMARILLO -- On Saturday at 3:54 a.m., Amarillo Police were called out to the 3900 block of NE 33rd on a family disturbance.
While en route, Police were advised Tommy Beard, 50, who had attempted to break down a door was now sitting in a vehicle on the street near the back of the house.
When officers arrived, police located the vehicle and approached Beard.
Police report that Tommy Beard was non-compliant with obeying officer’s commands and would not step away from the vehicle and continued to reach inside his pockets then reach back inside the vehicle. Eventually Beard was removed from the vehicle, arrested and handcuffed.
Beard was transported and booked in to the Potter County Correction Center on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (meth) over 1 gram less than 4 grams; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 (Hydrocodone) less than 28 grams; and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
