AMARILLO -- The Amarillo Independent School District is selling off some of its property.
Officials say they've decided to sell a tract of land in the Colonies Subdivision.
They say they're doing it because the property is now considered to be surplus. Meaning, the district no longer needs it.
If the land sells, the money that's made off it will go into the district's general fund.
