A New Home for an Amarillo Family

Habitat for Humanity reaches out to an Amarillo family.
An Amarillo family is set to receive a new home, thanks to hardworking volunteers and Habitat for Humanity.

Hammers and nails were out in force on Houston Street, raising the walls of a new home for Vincent, Sarafina and their six children.

The family first had to put in a minimum of 500 hours of work, building equity toward a new home.
Habitat for Humanity Development Director Becky Davis says, "Habitat has built over 90 homes in Amarillo, and when we get finished in this particular subdivsion, we'll

have 20 homes on these two city lots.  We really are building a neighborhood."

Cargill was on hand as well, with a check to help out Amarillo Habitat for Humanity.
