Nesbitt to be Named Permanent Head Coach Monday

The West Texas A&M athletics department has announced that Mike Nesbitt will be named the permanent head coach of the football program on Monday.

The university will hold a press conference at noon on Monday in the Buffalo Club Room.

Nesbitt has been the interim head coach since August when Don Carthel was relieved of his duties after nine season.  The football team went 11-3 this season including a birth in the NCAA Division II playoffs.  The season ended on Saturday with a 35-28 loss to Grand Valley State.
