Lone Star Festival Football Tickets On Sale Now

CANYON – Tickets for the fourth annual Lone Star Conference Football Festival scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, are on sale now.   A single ticket will be good for admission to all four games at the festival as the Buffs play Shorter (Ga.) at 1 p.m.

WT fans can purchase tickets through the WT Ticket Office (806-651-1414) or online by clicking here.  Buff fans are encouraged to take advantage of the advanced ticket prices, which will be $25 for adults and $10 for students.  Advanced sales through Ticketmaster and game-day pricing at AT&T Stadium will be $30 for adults and $12 for students.

“This year’s event is shaping up to be one fabulous day of football, with four games in a single day,” LSC commissioner Stan Wagnon said. “The best way for fans to get their tickets is to purchase in advance from their favorite team, not only for the better pricing but also to learn about that school’s plans for alumni gatherings, pep rallies, and tailgate parties that have become such a big part of this event.”

The 2014 edition of the festival includes two Lone Star Conference tilts and a pair of non-conference games featuring opponents from the Gulf South Conference.  Texas A&M-Commerce battles Texas A&M-Kingsville to begin the festivities at 10 a.m., followed by the Buffs vs. Shorter at 1 p.m.  Tarleton State battles Florida Tech at 5 p.m., and the festival concludes with Midwestern State taking on Eastern New Mexico at 8 p.m.

The festival has attracted more than 86,000 fans for 16 games in its first three years, making it one of the best-attended football events in all of Division II. Fourteen of those 16 games have been televised, bringing extensive exposure to LSC member institutions and their football teams. The festival also has featured five NFL Draft picks and eight NCAA playoff teams, including the 2012 Division II National Champion Valdosta State.

WT is coming off of an 11-3 campaign in 2013 and a berth in the NCAA National Quarterfinal.  The Buffs won a thrilling 34-31 come-from-behind decision last year in the LSC Football Festival against Chadron State.  WT is 3-0 all-time in the LSC Football Festival.
