Season Opener at CSU-Pueblo to be Broadcast on KCIT FOX 14

CANYON – The No. 11 West Texas A&M football team will open the 2014 Thursday evening at 7 p.m. CT at No. 4 Colorado State-Pueblo and the game will be broadcast back to the Amarillo/Canyon area on KCIT FOX 14. 
In addition, the Buffs will have new play-by-play and color announcers for all WT road football games this season as once again the road games will be broadcast on either KAMR or KCIT.  This season, KAMR NBC 4 Sports Director Clint Brakebill takes over the play-by-play duties and former WT football standout Charly Martin will handle color. 
Brakebill returns to Amarillo after a brief stint in Wichita Falls.  The Portales, N.M., native, earned his bachelor’s degree at West Texas A&M and worked on the Live Crew and broadcast various WT athletic events on WTTV and KWTS. 
Martin, a native of Farmington, N.M., had a standout career for the Buffs playing from 2004-2008.  During his time in Canyon, Martin became the all-time school leader in pass receptions (244) and receiving yards 4,108.  He also leads the school record book in touchdowns with 44. 
He earned second team All-America accolades for the Buffs in 2006 and honorable mention in 2007.  In 2006, he led the LSC in receiving yards with 1,169.  In 2008, he caught 95 balls for a career-best 1,867 yards and tied his career total with 22 touchdowns for a career school-record of 44. 
Martin was signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers in 2009 and had stints with the Carolina Panthers (2009-2010), Jacksonville Jaguars (2011), Seattle Seahawks (2012), San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars both in 2013.
