The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs lost to Bentley Friday night 73-65 in the National Championship game.

West Texas A&M took a 60-56 lead with 3:07 to go thanks to a pair of Chon White free throws, but several turnovers down the stretch doomed the Lady Buffs.

The Falcons forced three turnovers and scored six points in a matter of 13 seconds to tie the game at 60 with 2:47 to play.

Devin Griffin split a pair of free throws to give WT a 61-60 lead with 2:32 remaining, but on the ensuing possession Bentley's Lauren Battista nailed a three pointer to put the Falcons up by 2.  Battista also stole the inbounds pass and made a lay-up to give Bentley a 65-61 lead with 2:03 to go.

The Lady Buffs scored only free throws from that point forward and Bentley converted six free throws in the final two minutes of the game to preserve the victory.

West Texas A&M ends the season with a 32-3 record.
