?We?ve been planning for over two years now,? Bill McConnell, the Director of Event Operations for the NFL told television station KTVT. ?And our teams have been working closely with the cowboys and with the stadium staff. Of course it intensifies as the calender gets closer.?
Folks taking hourly tours of the stadium are getting a first glance at many of the changes. The endzones that normally featuring Cowboys logos now feature the colors black and gold along with yellow and green.
In addition to transforming Cowboys Stadium, a crew of 28 artists from the NFL will spray logos on the two practice fields at SMU and TCU. The crew will also do artwork at the NFL Experience in Dallas.
Some 2,000 people are working around the clock to add decorations, hang lights and run wiring for the game, pregame, halftime and post-game shows, according to KTVT.
Additionally, crews are putting in as many seats as possible.
?There?s about 15,000 extra seats we were able to put in place here and things we were able to do with the rails and the bowl seating,? Cowboys Stadium spokesman Brett Daniels told KTVT. ?We?re going to try to get as many people in to see the Super Bowl as we can.?
