WTs Prairie View Speaker Series Tonight

CANYON -- Four different guest speakers will share stories of adversity, struggle and achievement when West Texas A&M University presents The Prairie View Speaker Series: A Celebration in Black Professional Achievement during Februarys Black History Month.
The series will feature speakers trained in biology and medicine, education, art and architecture, and the history of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Each speaker will share his or her own story at 7 p.m. tonight, February 20 and 25 in the Classroom Center, Room 335.

Feb. 20 - Dr. Harriette Howard Lee-Block, department head for biology and associate professor of biology at Prairie View A&M University, will lecture on biology.

Feb. 25 - Frank Jackson, governmental relations officer for Prairie View A&M University and mayor of the city of Prairie View, will lecture on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Each speaker also will spend time in a question and answer session with selected WTAMU classes during their visits to the University.
