WT Holding Active Shooter Drill Early Friday

CANYON -- West Texas A&M University is holding an Active Shooter Drill starting at 6:30 Friday morning.

Officials put up temporary fencing on the west end of the Classroom Center to provide a safe area for the participants, stage equipment, and supplies for tomorrow.

There will also be some minor traffic pattern changes in the area to allow the continued use the JBK visitor, handicapped parking area until the drill is complete, and the fence removed Saturday morning.

You can still access the building today, but there will be some fencing up so please use caution as you move around in that area.
