Woman Arrested For Breaking into House and Attempting to Stab Man

AMARILLO – Amarillo Police responded to a call Sunday afternoon to the 2100 block of N Marrs on an assault in progress.

On the way to the residence, Police were advised that Tessa Marie Sanders, 25, was armed with a knife and the victim was defending himself.

During the investigation, Police determined that Sanders had forced her way into the residence and attempted to stab the male occupant. The female had been previously trespassed from this property.

When police arrived, the victim was detaining Sanders in the back bedroom.

The officers separated the two individuals and one officer began escorting the female towards the front of the house so he could talk with her. As they were walking down the hall, the female became very combative and disruptive. She turned on the officer and kneed him in the upper thigh.

Sanders is charged with Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon – Domestic Violence, Assault on a Public Servant, Burglary w/Intent to commit other Felony, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Trespass w/Deadly Weapon.
