AMARILLO -- Some people in Amarillo took steps Saturday to help cure the world of MS, by actually taking steps.
'Walk MS' took place at Caprock High School, with all funds raised going toward the National MS Society.Participants had the choice between walking a 5k outdoor route, or a half mile indoor route.
"It's important that we raise awareness and money for research," said walk participant Kristy Wilkerson. "The research is what makes us as healthy as we are today."
The average walker in Saturday's event raised $225.
