VA Introduces Website Showing Wait Times At Facilities Nationwide

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has introduced a new website that provides appointment wait times at every facility in the US.

The list shows veterans in the Texas panhandle still wait almost two months before they can get their first appointment with a primary care doctor.

Thomas E. Creek Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is doing better with appointments for mental health services, with an average wait time of eight days.

The Thomas E. Creek facility has some of the longest wait time across all of Texas. This includes having the second longest wait times for new patients in women's health at 30 days.

The new website also lets veterans check how satisfied patients are with the care they receive at a VA hospital. Another section shows how VA hospitals compare with other hospitals in a community.
