AMARILLO -- A new face is wanting to be your next U.S. Representative.

Democrat Mike Minter announced he was running for office earlier this week. Today, he made stop in Amarillo.

He wants to build more schools. He also wants to remove Social Security taxes for 100-percent disabled veterans.

Minter is running unopposed in the March primary.  He will face the winner of the Republican primary between Mac Thornberry, Pam Barlow, and Elaine Hays.
