UPDATE: Amarillo Police Work 40 Accidents

AMARILLO --  Amarillo Police report 40 accidents between 3 a.m. and noon, today.
        None had life-threatening injuries, and police report that after noon the roads cleared up, so ice was less of an issue.
AMARILLO -- Amarillo Police is reporting that 16 wrecks have been called in since 3 a.m.

Officials say no one has been seriously injuried. 

Amarillo Emergency Communications advises that officers are on the scene of or accidents are currently reported at IH-40 and Soncy, Western and Camp Lane, IH-40 and Lakeside (reported as a rollover south of the Interstate on 335), Hollywood and Coulter, Coulter and Hillside, 27th and S. Osage, and Arden and Bell. 

No lane blockages are reported, but drive carefully if you must travel in these areas.
