Amarillo, Texas -
AMARILLO -- TxDOT maintenance crews will be clearing snow from the center median walls on I-40 and I-27 beginning just before 1 p.m. today.
Crews will start at the US 287 split on I-40 and travel westbound to Loop 335, then turn around and clear snow traveling eastbound to the spilt. Once I-40 is completed, crews will do the same on I-27 heading southbound from the I-40 interchange to about Rockwell Road, then head northbound top clear the other side of the median.
Drivers will not be allowed to pass the plowing operation. TxDOT vehicles will trail the operation and motorists are to follow to their exit or to where the plows turn around.
The entire operation should be completed by 3:30 p.m. Motorist may want to seek another route during the operation.
