Two People Die in Fatal Head On Collision on I-40

AMARILLO -- On Saturday night, two people are dead after a head-on collsion on I-40 2.3 miles east of Amarillo.
DPS is reporting that a 2000 Toyota passenger car was traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-40. The Toyota struck a 2008 Lexus passenger car head on.
The drivers of both vehicles were killed.
Griselda Garcia, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the operator of the Toyota.
Gary Schweitzer, 60, was driving the Lexus. He also was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Horn.
