Tulia Animal Control Handling High Number of Pets

AMARILLO -- The City of Tulia wants to remind people who live in the city to check the shelter for missing pets.

They say over they past six months, they've handle more than 90 dogs and cats.

They've adopted more than 20 of them out through adoption clinics at Tractor Supply in Plainview. The company also has donated more than 600 pounds of dog food to the shelter in the past two months.

City officials encourage anyone in Tulia who has lost a pet to check with the shelter.

They also remind you pets must be registered with the city, and they must wear tags.
