AMARILLO -- The Chancelor of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is stepping down this year.
Tonight, he spent some time at the Amarillo campus.
Chancellor Kent Hance is retiring from the system at the end of the summer.
Our local campus decided to hold a reception in his honor for all that he's done for the system.
Currently, Hance is the chair of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Texas Tech, of course, Angelo State University, and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center at El Paso.
