Police Need Help Finding Suspects in Hotel Robberies

AMARILLO-- Officers were dispatched to the Country Inn and Suites at 2000 block of South Soncy at about 1:05am on a theft call.  The clerk had been just across the lobby working when a black male came in from the hotel area, jumped over the counter and tried to pry open a cash drawer.  She confronted the suspect, he told her to get back.  She felt threatened and hid from him in another area of the business.  The suspect took some electronic equipment from behind the counter and fled in an unknown direction.  No vehicle was seen.  No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.  While investigating this incident, it was learned that two suspects, one matching this same description, had been at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 2300 block of South Soncy just before this incident.

At about 12:55am, two black males came into the Comfort Inn and asked about a room.  They went outside, but then one came back inside with a mask over his face.  He brandished a pistol and jumped over the counter.  He took an undetermined amount of cash from the cash register.  No vehicle was seen here and no one was injured.

The only description is black males, one wearing a dark, possibly grey, hoodie.  The incidents do seem to be related and are still under investigation
