Today in the Kitchen: Chef Rocky Cooking Garlic Herb Orzo

Chef Rocky Dunnam here with us from Nineteen49 Catering.

He's showing us how to make garlic herb orzo.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cup Orzo
  • 2 ea Garlic Clove; sliced thin
  • 1 bunch Green Onion; chopped
  • ¼ cup Parsley; chopped
  • 1 tbsp Mint; chopped
  • 1 tbsp Tarragon; chopped
  • 1 ea Lemon; zest and juice
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Parmesan; grated
  • TT Kosher Salt/Black Pepper

PROCEDURE:

  1. Cook orzo in rapidly boiling water until al dente (about 6 min.).
  2. Drain. *Reserve liquid
  3. In saute pan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
  4. Add orzo, parsley, mint, tarragon, and lemon juice.
  5. Season to taste.
  6. Toss in parmesan.
  7. Garnish with lemon zest.
