TRENDING NOW - New Vaccine Study - Why This One Is Different

There have been a lot of questions about childhood vaccinations out there and it can be overwhelming to parents but this study does come down to the numbers, so parents will want to listen up.

A new study in the medical journal, Pediatrics takes a big stand -- that children should absolutely get their vaccines, period.

The researchers poured over more than 20,000 scientific titles and 67 different papers on vaccine safety to reach what they believe is the most comprehensive conclusion on the subject.

They found no ties between vaccines and the rising number of children with autism, contradicting claims put forward by a small but vocal group of anti-vaccine activists.

They also found no link between vaccines and childhood leukemia, something that was suggested in earlier studies.

The research showed that negative side effects from vaccines only affect a small fraction of people.

And they conclude that the positive effects of vaccines dramatically outweigh the bad -- something for parents to factor in as they make decisions for their own family.
