Atlanta, Georgia -
When it comes to commercial success, it appears country acts are outpacing the biggest names in mainstream pop music.
The genre's top earner this year? Would you have guessed Toby Keith?
The singer tops Forbes' 2014 annual list of country music's highest paid artists.
And he certainly is "as good as he was" because he's topping the list for the second year in a row, earning an estimated $65-million.
These days Keith is cashing in on his I Love This Bar And Grill restaurants, a multimillion-dollar endorsement deal with Ford, His own Wild Shot Mescal, he also owns "Show Dog-Universal Record Label."
Taylor Swift is second on the list with about $64-million.
Kenny Chesney, Jason Adean and Luke Bryan round out the top five.
All of the artists pulled in at least $34-million.
By the way of the ten best-selling albums in the U.S. last year, three were country.
