BBB Warns, Rachel Phone Scam

-
AMARILLO -- The BBB is warning about a phone scam involving a robo-caller.

The robo-caller goes by the name of Rachel.

Rachel tries to get the victim to lower their interest rate on a credit card and then directly connects the victim to the credit card company.

The victim is then assessed a fee anywhere from $500 to $1,500, and keeps the same interest rate.

The scam is also known as "spoofing".
