The Salvation Army Celebrating 125 Years in Texas

AMARILLO -- The Salvation Army is celebrating 125 years in Texas. They are holding several celebration throughout Amarillo.
  • Monday, May 12th Donuts For Media - Catherine Meck and board members thank our local media for the spectacular coverage throughout the year by visiting local media. 
  • Tuesday, May 13th Homeless Cookout 12-1pm- In the parking lot of The Salvation Army, burgers and hotdogs for the homeless.  
  • Wednesday, May 14th Banking on Ice cream 2-3:30pm - The Salvation Army Canteen visits Amarillo National Bank, Happy State Bank, and Chase Bank, downtown offices with an afternoon ice cream treat.  
  • Thursday, May 15th Open House for the Shelter 11:30-1:30pm- This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone in the community to visit our facility.  We will have $1.25 lunches served a tour.  Bring a friend or a co-worker and come meet the staff of The Salvation Army.
This is an opportunity for The Salvation Army of Amarillo to thank the community for the wonderful support we receive throughout the entire year.
