Texas DSHS: Rising Number Flu Cases Being Reported Across Texas and the Panhandle

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) released their latest surveillance report on the Flu in Texas.
The last week reported is February 12 through February 18. 
On Friday, DSHS reported that the flu activity has increased in the Amarillo Health Service Region.
The only county not reporting flu like illness or cases is Sherman county.
The DSHS is also reporting that 2,421 people have died from Pneumonia and influenza this year. 1891 of those 2,421 deaths came from people over the age of 65. 101 of those deaths were in our region.
