Texas Adds 64K Jobs in April

AMARILLO -- Unemployment numbers are in for the lone star state and Texas is in the green.

Last month, Texas added more than 64,000 jobs.

The unemployment rate dropped to around five-percent.

That's down from around six-percent this time last year.

Amarillo's unemployment currently sits at around three-percent.

That's down nearly one point from this time last year.
