People all around Amarillo laced up their sneakers for a local organization.

A 5k was hosted over at Thompson Park to help benefit the Amarillo Teen Court. 

Teen Court is a program available for juveniles who received a Class C misdemeanor, giving teens hands on experience to learn from their actions.

Tyler Trooper with Amarillo young lawyers says, "well, its important for kids to know, even at a young age, that there are consequences for what they do, and that there are rules you gotta play by."

The law day 5k was sponsored by the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association.
