Impact Futures is fighting back against a growing issue around the country, and here in the panhandle.

The groups protested around several shops in town that they claim sell K2 or other synthetic drug products.

The plan behind the protest, to teach people exactly what these synthetic drugs are, and their consequences.

K2 protester Jon Payne says, "it's for the people that are just starting to get into this stuff that are trying to test it out.  They have no idea.  They think it's safe because it's sold in stores, but really it's going to kill you."

According to Impact  Futures, recent K2 busts nationwide have discovered some money gained from  synthetics is in fact being funneled back to the Middle East.
