Swisher County Attorney Investigating Deadly Conduct Case
By Kelly James | email@example.com
TULIA -- The Swisher County Attorney is investigating an alleged case of "deadly conduct."
That case, led to the Texas Rangers investigation of sheriff burnie wells.
Tulia resident Lawrence Draine was arrested in June after a man armed with a shotgun began following him.
When Draine pulled-over to ask why. He claims the man pointed the gun at him while calling the sheriff.
Police say when Sheriff Wells arrived he allowed the man with the gun to leave but arrested Draine.
The video shows the Sheriff slamming Draine to the ground.
As we first told you last month, the investigation into this incident was handed over to the Texas Rangers.
Now, the county attorney will decide if any charges will come from the original incident.
