ReFashion is the result of modifying existing clothing or fabric items into something more fashionable.  Embellished is to take a purchased garment and modify with various beads, trims, etc.

District 1 4-H Clothing and Textiles contests use these ideas as a springboard for competition.   Saturday, May 3rd at the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Center in Amarillo, kids as young as third grade will compete in construction and buying divisions that include casual, dressy, active, specialty, ReFashion and embellished.

This year's competition will also feature new categories for senior members (ages 14-19) that include: Construction- ReFashion, Everyday Living, Semi-Formal to Formal, and Theatre/Costume.  In the Buying Division- Fantastic Fashions under $25, Business/Interview Attire, Semi-Formal to Formal, and Special Interest.
