As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week (March 2-8), the DHDC has partnered with several area agencies to present Weathering the Storm: The Science of Severe Weather. The event is open to area schools on Friday, March 7 and to the general public on Saturday, March 8 and features guest presenters (including KAMR's own John Harris and Chris Martin), weather activity stations, science of weather demonstrations and special showings of Tornado Alley in the Space Theater.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on both days. Admission for the March 8 public event is free for DHDC Members; non-members pay $10 for adults, $7 for children age 3-11 and seniors and no charge for children age 2 and under. Reservations for the school event on March 7 are required and can be made by contacting Mindy Morgan, Director of School Services, at 355-9547 x118.

The DHDC is also hosting a week of fun-filled daily activities during the 2014 Spring Break Spectacular! Check your March DHDC calendar and the Discovery Center's  Facebook page for details.
