Pharmacist Doug: True Numbers of Good Bacteria

A microbiome is "the ecological community of commensal, symbiotic, and pathogenic microorganisms that literally share our body space.[1][2]

First, the connection of these beneficial bacteria with our psychology or brain function. there is new research that is suggesting that the health of our gut bacteria can affect depression, anxiety, brain chemistry, behavior and even confidence! One recent study done at McMaster University of Hamilton, Ontario with mice showed that replacing the gut bacteria of anxious mice with bacteria from fearless mice switched these two populations´ behavior. The anxious mice became less anxious and more gregarious. The bold mice became more timid.

Don´t be afraid to take those probiotics or yogurt that have doses in the billions!
