In our continued partnership with Suddenlink Communications, we are excited to honor another youngster with a giving spirit. For Olsen Park Elementary School fourth grader, Jayden Lucas, helping animals is her passion. Through lemonade stand sales to volunteer work at the humane society, Jayden truly demonstrates the spirit behind people helping people and that's why Suddenlink Communications is proud to join with KAMR NBC 4 to honor Jayden this month.
Jayden's Nomination from Jennifer Morgan, 4th grade teacher at Olsen Park Elementary School:
I have had the great privilege of having Jayden in my fourth grade class this year. She is a hardworking, creative and empathetic young lady who sets a wonderful example of thinking and behavior for her peers. Jayden has a genuine love for others, which doesn't stop at humans. She cares for all animals and has a big heart for cats and dogs especially. Last year, in her third grade class, Jayden helped her teacher care for their class bunny, which she loved! Jayden has shown great responsibility and maturity in my class all year, and I am not surprised that she made such a compassionate decision to help out a local animal shelter. I am one of many adults who are proud to know Jayden and are proud of the young lady she is!
Jayden is a 4th grader at Olsen Park Elementary. She enjoys arts and crafts, volleyball, and gymnastics. Jayden is a huge animal lover and takes every opportunity she can to raise money to give to the humane society, Last summer she sold lemonade and cookies at a garage sale to raise money and she is now making and selling bracelets and key chains to donate. She also rides her bike around the neighborhood with food to help strays. Her dream is to be a vet when she grows up and if she had her way would adopt every animal she could.
