May is National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month; Local Chapter Hosts Safety Show

May is a big month for all you motorcycle enthusiasts out there-- it's National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Glenn Tyler and James Baker share their safety tips on behalf of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world's largest family. Dedicated to their motto: "Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge," GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. 


- Amarillo has one of the highest ratios of motorcycles to population in the state.
Motorcycles are a growing part of our society for both young and old from all walks of life.
Motorcycle riding involves fun, safety and knowledge. 
 Motorcycles, scooters and trikes are ever more common because of the cost of fuel.
 Safety clothing has become very fashionable, as well as protective
(Example: Studies have proven that helmets in the summer are actually cooler on your head than if you did not wear one.)
