Lay's Do Us a Flavor Contest Starts July 28th

Who will take home the $1,000,000 grand prize? America will decide!

Lay's is ready to announce the four finalist flavors in it's Do Us A Flavor contest. With millions of entries submitted, this years contest is bigger than ever. All four finalist flavors have been fully developed by Frito-Lays culinary experts and are ready to make their debut nationwide. Consumer votes will determine which flavor is selected as the winner, with the finalist taking home a $1 million grand prize.

From July 28 through October 18, 2014, consumers may vote once each day for their favorite finalist flavor on; via Twitter, Instagram and/or Vine and /or by text. Official rules and more details are available at

Curious what the finalist flavors are and who is behind each flavor? Meet the four finalists and flavors:

Chad Scott from Las Vegas, Nev., Lays Cappuccino
Chad Scott spends his days as a visiting lecturer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and nights working toward his Ph. D. from Texas A&M University. Constantly inspired and fueled by his local baristas concoctions, and as a longtime lover of potato chips, Chad submitted the idea of a cappuccino-flavored Lays potato chip. Important to note, Lays Cappuccino flavored potato chips do not contain coffee or caffeine.

Julia Stanley-Metz from Sacramento, Calif., Lays Wavy Mango Salsa
Julia Stanley-Metz credits most of her culinary creations to her husband, Rick, who loves to experiment with exotic flavors and ingredients. She and her family have Taco Tuesday every week, taking fresh ingredients from the garden to create her perfected mango salsa recipe - now on a chip.
Matt Allen from Troy, Ohio,  Lays Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese 
A Troy, Ohio native, Matt just landed his dream job as a full-time firefighter. Who would have thought something as routine as preparing a meal for his fellow firefighters would spark an idea for a new Lays potato chip flavor. Married to his high school sweetheart after dating for nearly a decade, Matt and Danielle just welcomed a son - Landon Thomas - to their family six months ago. When hes not at the firehouse or playing dad, Matt is staying active outdoors and volunteering in his local community. When it was his turn to cook the family meal at the firehouse during training, Matt knew exactly the way to his teams hearts and stomachs. His specialty bacon mac and cheese was a huge hit, and now all of America can get a taste of this Ohio firehouse favorite on a potato chip.

Meneko Spigner McBeth from Deptford, N.J., Lays Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger
Meneko Spigner McBeth is a registered nurse with a passion for sushi that started when she was just a little girl, eating handmade rolls by her grandmother. Over the years, her affinity for spicy foods and tastes, like wasabi, only grew, inspiring this potato chip flavor.
