The High Plains Thunderbirds will host the 13th annual Day of Thunder, a one-day-only car show to benefit Martha's Home. Car and truck enthusiasts from across the area will be there to enjoy free food, live music with Easy Street, games, door prizes and more.
Visitors will see street rods, modified cars and trucks, classic T-birds and many others for free.
The Day of Thunder goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26th, in the parking lot of First United Bank, on 45th-- just east of Soncy. The event is free to the public, or $20 to enter a car or truck.
All proceeds benefit Martha's Home, an Amarillo-based nonprofit organization providing transitional housing and assistance to homeless women and their children, giving them a helping hand to become self-sufficient, productive members of our community. The High Plains Thunderbirds, to date, have raised over $27,000 for Martha's Home.
