Heart disease  is the number one killer of women; it's deadlier than all cancers combined.   If you are diagnosed with heart disease, you should know there are wonderful resources available to help your thrive despite the diagnosis.  Teresa Snider of Interim HealthCare of Southwest Texas has some important reminders.

- Diet

- Exercise

- Medication


Signs of Heart Attack

- Shortness of Breath

- Sweating

- Chest Pressure

- Nausea

- Pains in Jaw, Neck or Back

The most important thing- don't delay calling 911 if you are experiencing these symptoms.

An upcoming lunch is open to social workers, nurses, medical professionals or individuals interested in the subject. It's Thursday, February 20th from noon to 1 p.m.
Dr. Ernesto Rivera, Cardiologist from Amarillo Heart Group, will present information on Varicose Veins and Overall Heart Health.  The lunch is being held at Childers Place on 6600 Killgore Drive.  Lunch is provided by BFit.  Seating is limited.  For reservations, call Teresa Snider at 674-8012.
