Amarillo Area Autism in Action Walk & Fair Set for Saturday
One in 68 individuals are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, and it's not just a childhood disorder. Early intervention is key and it includes speech therapy, educational and behavioral therapy, occupational therapy and family training.
A few new things in the area that are being offered for children with Autism and other special needs are a dance program, Hands on Achievement Therapeutic Learning Program, a parents support group each Friday and family fun days that are scheduled for May at the Discovery Center.
