Updated: One Dead, Several Injured in Comanche, Texas Fireworks Explosion

- COMANCHE -- A fireworks-related explosion in Comanche has taken the life of one person, and injured several others. 

According to Comanche radio station KYOX-FM, the explosion occurred around 9 a.m. at Comanche High School. 

A trailer containing fireworks for the town’s holiday festivities exploded, reportedly killing one person and causing burn injuries to several others.

City and county officials are on the scene now.
