San Antonio, Texas -
(WOAI) At 108-years-old Lucy Coffee is the oldest living female veteran in the nation.
Today she is headed to Washington, DC where she'll be honored for her service.
Lucy served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II and earned two Bronze Stars.
When Lucy and her caretaker arrive in Washington they'll head to the White House to meet Vice President Joe Biden and then after dinner, they're heading to a concert in her honor.
She'll also meet President Obama during a private tour.
