DPS Seizes Meth and Cocaine during Traffic Stop in Nolan County

LUBBOCK –- During a traffic stop Wednesday on US 84, DPS seized almost one pound of meth valued at $36,000.  Troopers also discovered a small amount of cocaine inside the vehicle.  

At 3:15 p.m., a DPS trooper pulled over a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on US 84, for a traffic violation, near Roscoe in Nolan County. 

During the traffic stop, a DPS canine unit was called and searched the vehicle.  During the search, 16 packages of methamphetamine and two packages of cocaine were discovered.  

The driver is connected to an ongoing investigation being conducted by the DPS Criminal Investigations Division in Lubbock.  
The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Lubbock to Abilene.
